Health Canada to authorize new food additive uses

Research & Development Regulation Ingredients & Additives additives Government ingredients newHealth Canada has published a notice of intent to issue a food marketing authorization, adjusting three marketing authorizations for food additives.
The adjustment would allow five new food additive uses that have been found to be safe for consumption. The consultation period for these proposed amendments to marketing authorizations is 30 calendar days, ending on May 8, 2019. Once modified, these food additive uses could be enabled by administratively modifying certain lists of permitted food additives.
