Lassonde wins Healthy Workplace award

Toronto – Excellence Canada recognized 29 Canadian organizations with its Canada Awards for Excellence and only one company on the list this year was a food manufacturer.

Lassonde Industries Inc. of Rougemont, Que. received the Gold Trophy – Healthy Workplace award. All the awards were presented on Nov. 2 in Toronto. The Healthy Workplace award, presented by Great-West Life, is based on Excellence Canada’s Canadian Healthy Workplace Framework developed in partnership with Health Canada and in association with professionals from the health and wellness sectors.

Jean Gattuso, COO of Lassonde, says the award celebrates a corporate culture “of which we are very proud. We share this honour with all our employees, as it really belongs to them.
