In 1973, David and Penny Chapman moved above an old creamery in Markdale, Ont., to start their new ice cream business. With only six employees and four old trucks they began making the first 15 flavours of ice cream.
“I grew up in this business and have learned a lot since I joined the company full time in 2008. The evolution and success of the business has been an honour to be a part of. More importantly though, the impact of Chapman’s charitable initiatives and partnerships in communities across Canada makes me incredibly proud,” says Ashley Chapman, COO.
Although the road to success over the past 50 years hasn’t always been as smooth as their frozen treats, Chapman’s resilient and entrepreneurial spirit has propelled them through every twist and turn.
Looking ahead, Chapman’s expands its 50-year success by introducing a luxury product called Super Premium Plus that recently reached grocery stores across Canada.
Chapman’s currently delivers over 180 products to all provinces and territories across Canada.
