Chambly, Que. – Craft brewer Unibroue has launched a new limited edition beer called La Résolution.
The strong spiced, high-end dark ale was inspired by a recipe that brew master, Jerry Vietz, concocted for his friends.
At 10 per cent alcohol, its spicy caramel aroma evolves on the palate into pleasant and complex notes of toffee reminiscent of tasty gingerbread, says the company. La Résolution offers a balance between spicy, caramel and roasted malt flavours, which are complemented by a roundness and persistent finish.
The company adds that La Résolution is a perfect complement to cheese fondue or to accompany gingerbread or carrot cake.
La Résolution will be available across the country at a suggested retail price of $9.99 for a 750-mL bottle, starting in October until supplies last.
