GraceKennedy (Ontario) Inc.
Toronto – Just in time for Thanksgiving, GraceKennedy (Ontario) Inc. has launched jerk spices, seasonings and sauces.
The launch offers consumers a chance to give their traditional Thanksgiving dishes a Jamaican twist.
The company says the products can add a big flavour boost without changing the overall character of a holiday dish. The Grace Jerk products capture the genuine taste of jerk, by combining exotic Jamaican herbs and spices.
The new products include:
• Jerk Caribbean Traditions Spice Bottle (the flavour boost), which can be sprinkled over meat before roasting, baking or grilling for an added zest. It can also be added to stuffing, gravy, sauces and marinades for an enhanced flavour.
• Jerk Seasoning (the classic Jerk) is a paste that can be rubbed onto raw meat along with other fresh ingredients. The company recommends marinating the meats for at least an hour before to get a classic jerk taste.
• Jerk BBQ Sauce (the versatile one) can be brushed on both sides of meats during the last five to six minutes of cooking. It can also be added to casseroles, stews or stir frys. The sauce can also be used as a condiment or a dip.
